The Biolumitá® formula balances and brightens skin tone using a rhizome extract from the Alpina offi cinarium plant, known as Chinese ginger. This ingredient is rich in galangina, a flavonoid found in natural herbs. Biolumitá® works within all three main areas of the pigmentation process. They are:

1. Reduces the production of melanosomes

Biolumitá® works to reduce the production of endothelin-l, a peptide involved in the formation of melanosomes, within which melanin synthesis occurs.

2. Reduces melanogenesis

Biolumitá® reduces the transcription of tyrosinase and TRP-1, essential enzymes in the production of melanin.

3. Reduces the transport of melanosomes

Biolumitá® reduces the production of adrenomedullin, a mediator that stimulates the melanocyte dendricity, compromising the transport of melanosomes to the keratinocytes, essential to the completion of the skin pigmentation process.
